I have been interested in the Sanja Festival since I was in Sendai, and finally went. I had the opportunity to visit some of our customers who are local to Asakusa. Their area is located behind Sensoji Temple, and it was a nice place with a nice, mellow, 100% local feel. I envy the local festival, Sanja Matsuri, which is held in downtown Tokyo. In my hometown, Sendai, I think they should first revive the food stalls by the Eon station. I think it would be nice to have a sense of nostalgia, and I think it would be better if they would let more and more stalls be set up, instead of saying that if only one stall is left and that person quits, it’s the end of the line. I think it is better to keep it as it is in Sendai, not as it is in the city.

I also visited Kamiya Bar right next to Sensoji Temple. The building is a tangible cultural property and looks like it was built in 1921. As an old building enthusiast, it is a dream space for me, and I can’t help but be curious about the room with the curtains closed above, I want to go in! They seem to make an original sake called “Denki Bran†and drink it alternately with beer. How chic….

Chochin made by a chochin shop in Tear Bridge. This is so cool that I am planning to make it into a T-shirt. I also plan to make hand towels from a long-established hand towel shop in Asakusa.
